Theatre Unlimited

At Monkey Baa, we believe every young person deserves a front-row seat to creativity.

Evidence shows (and we know this in our hearts) that engaging with theatre can profoundly impact young people’s lives. Theatre can:

· Improve academic performance
· Boost cognitive skills and creativity
· Improve mental wellbeing
· Model diversity and different perspectives
· Develop a deeper understanding of emotions.
We believe one theatre experience can spark something powerful. That spark can shape a young person’s life. And ripple through their family and community.

But…not all young people experience these benefits

Live theatre offers unique opportunities for emotional growth, empathy and social skills. As these experiences fade, young people miss out on essential pathways to emotional literacy and wellbeing.
Our response…

To ensure more young people have access to the benefits of live theatre, we have introduced Theatre Unlimited.

The aim is to expand our capacity and remove the barriers so more young people have the opportunity to engage with live performing arts.

In the next decade we hope  to reach one million young people and families.

We are prioritising areas and communities where the need is greatest:

· Regional and remote communities

· Schools with limited resources

· Young people and families navigating medical challenges

Your support
We are growing our social impact and we need your support.

“I gave to Theatre Unlimited because every young person deserves that first spark - the moment they realise the world is bigger and more beautiful. Knowing I helped make that possible means everything. ”
