Our Impact

When the arts are part of every young person’s life, they grow into empathetic, imaginative and culturally engaged adults.

We have worked extensively to define the impact of our work, and develop measurement frameworks to ensure we are making a difference in the lives of young people. This evidence, alongside established research and literature demonstrates the value of art experiences to the lives of young people.

We have partnered with Good Wolf, a leading social impact consultancy to develop robust tools and methods to track and understand the outcomes across both the social and cultural streams of our impact.

This commitment to measuring impact helps us learn, improve, and advocate for the vital role that arts play in shaping brighter futures for young people.

Theory of change
Our theory of change is the backbone of Theatre Unlimited: it clearly maps out how our programs create real, measurable impact. It guides us to connect our vision with practical action, ensuring that our work breaks down barriers and builds confidence, creativity and connection for those who need it most.
The spark

Young people feel joy. They feel included. They grow curious.

The growth

Build empathy. Grow in confidence. Develop a love for the arts.

The horizon

We see a more inclusive and creative society. We grow a stronger culture of theatre in Australia.

Social Impact Report

Our Social impact reporting is how we share the story of what our work achieves. By collecting and communicating clear data and real stories, we show our communities, partners and supporters the impact of our work.

Research

Our work is guided not only by our own experience but also by established research and evidence that clearly demonstrates the social impact of the arts. Decades of studies show that access to high-quality arts experiences supports young people’s wellbeing, confidence, creativity and sense of belonging. By drawing on this research, we strengthen our programs, advocate for greater investment in the arts, and ensure we continue to deliver proven, lasting benefits for young people and their communities.
