A MONKEY BAA TEACHING ARTIST WILL LEAD DRAMA WORKSHOPS
OFFSITE AT THE MUSEUM!

________

drama workshops

Monkey Baa is going on an excursion… join us for a rich, engaging workshop session at the Australian Museum!

Workshopping the book Edward the Emu by Sheena Knowles and Rod Clement, participants will work collaboratively to create their own characters and scenes, combining physical movement, improvisation, vocal activities, and the creation of a storyline. After the drama session, there will be the chance to go on a guided adventure into the Museum and meet Edward.

Young dramatists aged 5-8 years will go on a journey of identity, self-belief, and belonging… through the eyes of an emu!

Other highlights:

  • A reading of Edward the Emu
  • A short tour with First Nations staff of the Australian Museum, exploring the importance of the emu in First Nations cultures
  • Meet the star of next year’s new Monkey Baa show… Edward, and have a photo with him
