Monday 6 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: costume fittings. More scene work for 90 minutes without a break. Had to wait until 1pm for my lunch – at least they fed me properly.
Afternoon: Director demanded to ‘re-cap the day’s work.’ Pfft.
Tuesday 7 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: Worked on scene 6 and 7. Dug a flowerbed.
Afternoon: Rehearsed scenes 8 and 9. I did them perfectly.
Wednesday 8 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: Very disgruntled to find the perfectly nice hole I dug has been filled in. Naturally I re-dug it. When will they learn?
Afternoon: I’ve lost interest in carrots, it’s all about the oats. Humans missed this memo. Not happy. Made it abundantly clear I would require oats going forward. Some washing got in my way. Knocked it off.
Thursday 9 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: Repetition of yesterday’s scenes. This is getting tedious. The trainee, Peta was sewing some flowers for my flowerbed. I shall steal them later.
Afternoon: Humans have abandoned me for a ‘production’ meeting. What’s there to discuss? This is the greatest show I’ve ever starred in.
Friday 10 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: Notes for this afternoon’s run. I’ll be in my dressing room if you need me.
Afternoon: Company run-through. The Monkey Baa staff are coming to observe my acting skills. They won’t be disappointed.
Saturday 11 March (REX Cramphorn Studio)
Morning: Today we will be joined by some Clever Young Monkeys who will watch a rehearsal. I shall bribe them to feed me oats.
