An 'Urban' Exploration of Adaptation

A partnership with Urban Myth Theatre of Youth

In October 2008, Monkey Baa worked intensively with young members aged between 16 – 26 years from South Australia’s Urban Myth, creatively adapting Gillian Rubinstein’s The Pirate Ship.

Phase two of this project involves Monkey Baa returning in 2009 to work with the company on further script work early in the rehearsal process of the production. This relationship continues the mentoring of participants in the process of creating the production.

The production of The Pirate Ship will open in Adelaide in November 2009.
